Our Glacier chains have a braided stainless steel cable that goes around the outsides of the tires, that's gonna go along the tire wall. So our Titan Chains, these guys are gonna be twist link style, meaning that the links are twisted in a ladder pattern. So what that does for you, the type of terrains that you're gonna use these on, is gonna be light snow, mud, low traction, light ice. This is gonna be kinda like in between duty. Essentially, these are made out of hardened steel that's gonna give you corrosion resistance and additional bite into the ice and snow for additional traction. It's not included in the packaging, but it is highly recommended that you get one of these rubber tensioners along with your chains. more

We're gonna have this on our front axle, as with the manual recommends, and our tire size is gonna be 2 35 65 R18. Now let's take a closer look at 'em. Now this is gonna be a good option for you if you find yourself driving through a lot of light snow, or if you just need something in case of emergency, or you live in a state that requires you to have chains. 'Cause these aren't gonna do a whole lot for you except for if you're in those light duty areas. We're gonna have these low carbon steel roller link chains and what these are gonna do is they're gonna provide you more of a smooth ride and they're gonna be Class S compatible, which is gonna give us plenty of room back here, since we do have some pretty low suspension. more

Glacier V-Bar Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2022 Nissan Armada- Video

Your chains are the V-bar style and it has to do with these v-shaped teeth that are gonna be on top of your twisted links. What that does for you, it bites more so into the ground or ice or mud to give you additional traction. These particular chains are for on road use. As far as your clearance back here, it's a lot of space. I can fit my entire hand between the wheel and the the back here for your suspension, you just definitely wanna make sure you check your owner's manual as far as your tire size and what is allowed for your vehicle. more

Pewag All Square Tire Chains Installation - 2022 Nissan Armada- Video
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Pewag Square link Grooved Tire Chains on our 2022 Nissan Armada. Starting with the link on these guys, they're a groove that are gonna be in inside of each one of your square links. Pewag brands that as the star wave and essentially what it does, it allows you to get a little bit of space to bite into ice when you're going down the road. They're configured in the ladder pattern. What the ladder pattern usually is gonna work for is going down straightaway, straight shots, not so much for windy roads, but nonetheless you'll still have a lot of traction more so than just the wheel on its own. They're made, the links on the chain themselves are made of a nickel-manganese-steel alloy that's hardened and it's also gonna bite into ice better and prevent corrosion. more

Now, this is gonna be on our tire size 255/50-R20 on our front axle. And let me just put out there, this is very limited clearance. As per the manual recommends, it doesn't actually recommend any tire chains, but if you live in a state that requires tire chains, you're gonna need something. And this is a Class S chain, so it's gonna be very close to your tire. more

And let's take a closer look at our tire links themselves, So these guys are square links, so that's gonna give you a flat surface that actually helps to bite down into the ice. Usually it's good on for ice and snow, and you know, most situations where you're gonna need additional traction. The pattern is a diamond pattern where you kind of see these diamond points as far as how the chains are configured, and that is gonna give you more traction on the sides of your tire. more

So generally, if you're looking to add tire chains to your vehicle, you're going to be in driving situations where you're gonna need additional traction. So if it's, you know, ice, snow, sand, dirt, having power chains are gonna allow you to be able to grip the road better. So these specifically, these actually have what's called a ladder pattern. The reason it's a ladder pattern because the chains actually, you know, look like a chain ladder. These work well in situations where most of your travel is gonna be straight ahead. more

On this guy we have a P235/65R18 tire, so it's already confirmed to fit that 21 OEM tire. So let's go ahead and get started with our installation. So as far as with tire chains, in most cases when you're using it, it's gonna be icy, wet, cold, just conditions that aren't ideal. So it'd be a great idea to actually test fit your chains before you're going to need them. You're gonna make sure you take the solid braided cable and separate this open space in here. more
